Alana Zack (b. 1996) is a Brooklyn-based artist born and raised in the San Francisco Bay Area. She studied Fine Art Photography at Glasgow School of Art and holds a BA in Studio Art from Kenyon College (2019). Drawing from dreamscapes, memory, and her coastal upbringing, Zack imagines a world pared down to place, gathering, solitude and contemplation. Through abstract figuration and landscape, Zack explores what it means to swim, float, and bathe -- in water and on land, alone and among others, in this universe and in another. Maybe everything we have is already there.

Her work has been exhibited at OK Gallery, New York; Gallery Route One, Point Reyes; and the Gund Gallery, Gambier. She recently studied woodworking in a 3-month intensive course at the Center for Furniture Craftsmanship.
